Lady of the Lake Demo (v 1)

The demo for Lady of the Lake was updated to verion 1:

• Hammers are no longer defence-piercing, but they are still effective against heavy armor. A lot of other equipment was updated. A lot of two-handed weapons in particular are better and have increased parry rates.
• We tried to get guardians & bodyguards to have to be in the front row to protect allies (as a substitute), but we couldn't get it to work. However, the related "cover" and "protect" skills now move them to the front row.

The full game was also updated:

• The boss monster ally was overpowered, and they no longer start with skill points. New Game Plus also has a way to let you start with the boss monster, and they work a bit differently for that now.
• Several possible scenarios and game ending cut scenes used for winning the game had issues, and they should be fixed.

Release Date & Kickstarter Rewards

The release date for the full game is estimated to be September 23, 2022. It was previously October 13, 2022, but that no longer seems necessary because the game is finished.

The official Kickstarter rewards are already available. If you were a backer and need your reward, you should be able to use your previous download & login details sent to you on August 30, 2022.

Final Updates September 15th?

Even though the game is officially complete, more updates are possible. I will set aside the next six days to prioritize updating the game based on feedback from anyone who plays the game. After that, it will not be a high priority. 

We are not going to make any significant updates for the game, but we will fix bugs, grammar, and other small issues. 

Can You Win Solo?

Beating the game solo is theoretically possible. I have not been successful when trying to play the game solo, but I will try again and I have some ideas:

• The regular version of the game has a point after a time lapse when you just have Vivian and any monsters you recruited. If you want to beat the game solo, don't recruit any monsters.
• The New Game Plus option of choosing your starting team might be the easiest option because you start the game with the legendary items you found in the previous session. Equipment that gives you overhealing and extra actions are helpful in particular.
• The Special Edition of the game has an option to start with various bonus options, such as ten Apples of Knowledge. Each of these gives you five skill points. Keep in mind that if you upgrade your class, you lose your skill points. You can also keep them for New Game Plus.
